ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, SELF-HARM
Decision Theatre – The Silence module focuses on adolescent mental strain, performance pressure, and invisible inner suffering. The dramatic story offers a glimpse into the life of a teenage girl who appears successful, popular, and balanced on the outside, while internally struggling with intense anxiety and harsh self-critical thoughts.
Throughout the scenes, the audience gains access to the character’s thoughts through audible inner monologues: the pressure to meet expectations, self-blame, and the feeling of isolation. At key moments in the story, students are placed in decision-making situations: will they share the problem with someone, or continue trying to carry the burden alone?
In the reflective part of the programme, participants explore together how the inner critical voice operates, what signs anxiety and depression may have, and what role trust and asking for help play in coping with difficult situations.
The aim of the programme is to help students recognise that mental struggles are often invisible, and that real strength does not lie in isolation, but in connection and in accepting help.
